Training Programs

Tiger Club runs eight structured programs across the year. Every program starts with a skills assessment, is capped at a small coach-to-player ratio and finishes with a written review you can take to your club coach.

Batting Masterclass

Stroke play, footwork, decision-making and long-innings batting against pace and spin.

Pace Bowling Academy

Run-up and action rebuilds, seam presentation, variations and managed bowling workloads.

Spin Bowling Lab

Revolutions, drift, flight and the variations that actually take wickets in club cricket.

Wicket-Keeping School

Glove work, footwork, standing up to the stumps and catching under pressure.

Fielding & Fitness

Ground fielding, throwing, diving and the speed work that keeps you in the game.

Junior Cricket U10–U19

Age-group squads building skills through games, with a clear route to age-group district cricket.

Women's Cricket Program

A dedicated pathway for girls and women, from first net session to senior grade.

One-on-One Coaching

Private 60-minute sessions with video analysis, booked around your playing schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do players need their own kit?

No. All pads, gloves, helmets and bats are provided for junior programs. Senior players usually prefer their own bat, but we have a range of loan bats and you can try them before buying.

My child has never played before. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Around a third of the players who start with us have never held a cricket ball. Beginners join the Junior Cricket squads, where the first four weeks focus on catching, throwing and batting basics through games.

How do you decide which squad a player joins?

Every new player completes a 45-minute skills assessment. We then place them by ability and age, and review that placement at the end of each term with the player and their parents.

What happens when it rains?

Sessions move indoors to the Tiger Club Indoor Centre. Only a full venue closure cancels training, and in that case we add a make-up session to the end of the term.

Can parents watch training?

Yes. There is a viewing deck over the nets and seating in the clubhouse. We do ask parents to stay off the netting area so coaches can keep the session moving.

Not Sure Where to Start?
